Karuma auction market has been relaunched along the Karuma-Okwece road. The relaunching of the auction market took place on Monday January 06, 2020 at Karuma Catholic church following the community appeal to relocate it from Sino hydro market back to its initial venue.

Authorities in Kiryandongo district have launched multi-million labour intensive public works and improved household investment support projects in four watersheds of Kigumba and Masindi port sub counties under the Northern Uganda Social Action Fund III.

The resident district commissioner Kiryandongo has called upon leaders in the district to sensitize the people about value addition so as they desist from selling their produce at low prices which has made it difficult to eradicate poverty among the farmers. Peter Debele the RDC said this while presiding over the 57th independence celebrations at Kibanda Secondary school in Kiryandongo district.

The chairman LCV Kiryandongo Charles Ntairehoki Amooti has called upon the people of Kamusenene village in Kiryandongo Sub County to own the projects established in their community by government. This was during the commissioning of a 33 million shillings deep borehole at Kamusenene on Wednesday September 4, 2019.
Ntairehoki also asked the community through the water source committee to contribute some money for maintenance of the borehole.

Authorities in Kiryandongo district have urged health workers to exercise and observe professionalism when executing their duties. This was during a health workers meeting organized by the resident district commissioner Kiryandongo on Tuesday August 27, 2019 to sensitize them following an increase in allegations of extortion of money at health facilities.

Authorities in Kiryandongo district have sworn in the members of the district land board. The ceremony which was presided over by the Chief Administrative Officer took place on August 20, 2019 at the district headquarters.
The sworn in land board comprises of Fred Byakagaba the Chairperson, Nestore Onencan, Hellen Apolot, Gladys Kabajungu and Edward Odong as members.
Fred Byakagaba the chairperson district land board promised not to let down the district and was ready to work under any circumstances.

The LCV chairman Kiryandongo Charles Ntairehoki Amooti has applauded the people of Kaduku I village for turning up during community planning meetings of their area. This was during his monitoring of Kaduku-Kizibu road which was undergoing routine mechanized maintenance.

Five schools in Kiryandongo district which benefited from the Development Response to Displacement Impact Project-DRDIP have taken great shape following the infrastructural developments launched four months back.

The Ministry of Health, World Health Organization in partnership with the Infectious Diseases Institute has trained health workers in Kiryandongo district on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC). The 5 days training which started on Monday April 29,2019 and ended on Friday May 03, 2019 is a preparedness activity by World Health Organisation in 22 high risk and refugee hosting districts following an Ebola virus outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo.

Authorities in Kiryandongo district have launched 12.1 kilometers road network in two watersheds under the Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF 3) in Masindi Port and Kiryandongo sub-counties.
The roads launched are 4.5 Km Diika-Kihuura in Siriba watershed at 78 million shillings, 3.5 Km Kaduku I-Kyakuhaire at 90 million shillings in Kinyonga-Kaduku watershed and 4.1 Km Kaduku II-Kaduku hill community access roads.
