Kiryandongo district chairperson Edith Aliguma Adyeri has called upon the community to always seek reproductive health from qualified health workers at recognized health facilities so as to avoid the likely side effects resulting from self-prescription.

Kiryandongo district local government has received a new Chief Administrative Officer following the transfer of Ismael Ochengel to Gulu district local government.

While addressing the staff of Kiryandongo district during the handover ceremony on Monday March 14,2022 at the district headquarters, Martin Jacan Gwokto the Chief Administrative Officer pledged commitment to service delivery during his tenure in office.

Kiryandongo District is set to benefit from the 280 million USD integrated water management and development project. This was revealed during the advocacy and awareness creation workshop organized by the ministry of water and environment on Thursday December 9,2021 at Kiryandongo community technology access center. Out of the 280 million USD, Kiryandongo will receive 4.6 million USD solar powered piped water system.

Aliguma made the call on Friday November 26, 2021 while addressing the residents at Diika trading centre during the launch of the 13 KM shillings 55.43 million Kisorosoro-Diika road.

Kiryandongo district authorities have commissioned the 2 billion shillings NUSAF3 labor intensive public works projects whose funds had been caveated at the beginning of the financial year 2020/2021. The projects commissioned include community access roads, market stalls, institutional greening and community fish ponds.

Kiryandongo district RDC Peter Debele has called upon the government and partners to extend psycho-socio support to the security personnel who are enforcing government directives on prevention of the spread of COVID-19. Debele made the call during a one-day orientation of Kiryandongo district COVID-19 taskforce on psycho-socio support organized by TPO Uganda on Tuesday August 10, 2021 at the Community Technology Access center. Debele added that security officers are the most stressed by COVID-19 yet not well facilitated to enforce the guidelines set by government.

Kiryandongo district COVID-19 taskforce has urged the management of Kiryandongo sugar limited to employ health workers and set up a facility to manage cases with in the factory. This followed the outbreak of COVID-19 among the workers of Kiryandongo sugar limited with two confirmed cases which prompted the taskforce to visit the factory to assess the level of infection prevention and control measures.

Kiryandongo District on the 01/June/2021 received 15 laptops form National Information Technology Authority (under Regional Communications Infrastructure Program) which was graced by NITA-U's Director of E-Government Services Collin Babirukamu who flagged off the last distribution of laptops to Local Governments,
